Steel strapping as strapping iron and steel strapping

For some applications steel strapping cannot be replaced by plastic strapping - this is especially true for very heavy or sharp packaging goods or for those that are heated after being strapped or still hot when strapped. Steel strapping is available in several strap widths and thicknesses that have an impact on the breaking strength.

Furthermore, quality grade of the steel has an impact on the breaking strength: Bright, quality and high tensile steel strapping. Bright steel strap has lowest breaking strength and elongation whereas hight tensile steel strap has highest values in those dimensions. In addition, for quality and high tensile strapping, there are different grades of rust protection available: blue-annealed, black-painted, and zinc-painted.
