Tensioner & Sealer

A cheap alternative to battery-powered strapping tools that seal the strap via friction weld mechanism are manual strapping tools where the strap is tied together by a metal seal. The most simple and thus inexpensive version of a manual strapping tool for plastic strapping is the combination of tensioner and sealer as separate tools: The strap is tensioned and the sealed by a metal seal. The tensioner is suitable for 10-19 mm strap width and the sealer is available for both 12/13 and 15/16 mm strap width.

LS-44

The best manual tool in terms of price / performance ratio is our LS-44 that is not only very comfortable in use, but that can be used with PP AND PET strapping as well. It is availabe for 12/13 and 15/16 mm strap width.

Thanks to its massive and robust design, the LS-44 strapping tool is significantly more durable than comparable products.

LS-ZP 20

The LS-ZP 20 can be considered as hybrid strapping tool as it is a combination of manual and battery-powered strapping tool: like all manual tools, tensioning has to be done manually, but sealing is not done with a metal seal but via a friction weld mechanism comparable to batter-powered strapping tools.

Other than Orgapack's OR-T 50, the LS-ZP 20 is suitable only for PP and not for PET strapping and is net-baed instead of battery-powered. That is the reason why this tool is significantly cheaper than the OR-T 50.

The Orgapack OR-T family of battery-powered strapping tools for plastic strapping (PP and PET) - also known as "Signode BXT", "Strapex STB" or "Cyklop CMT" - defines the 'state of the art' in this field and is characterized by highest quality, ease of use (only one hand needed), high tension force and low weight.

The difference between Orgapack types OR-T 100, 200 and 300 is only the maximum tension force. Please note that in this case, "the higher the better" is not true as the required tension force depends on the packaging good. If glass needs to be strapped for example, the OR-T 100 must be used as its soft tenioning function will prevent the glass from breaking.

Als rules of thumb you can do the following strap type / tool mapping:
· PP strapping up to 13 mm strap width: OR-T 100
· PP strapping > 13 mm and PET strapping up to 16 mm strap width: OR-T 200
· PET strapping with 19 mm strap width: OR-T 300

All three types of battery-powered strapping tools have in common that tensioning and sealing is done automatically upon push of a button. The OR-T 50 model also seals automatically (= battery-powered), but tensioning has to be done manually so that this model is the cheapest Orgapack model.

LS-ZP 22

Der LS-ZP 22 ist deutlich preiswerter als Akku-Umreifungsgeräte von Orgapack oder Fromm. Wie der neue OR-T 250 von Orgapack verfügt auch die neue Generation der LS-ZP 22 über eine kohlebürstenfreien Motor, so dass das Hauptverschleißteil entfällt. Die Folgekosten können so deutlich reduziert werden. Mit seinen 2.500 N Spannkraft spannt er PP- und PET-Bänder von 12-16 mm Bandbreite und bei PP-Bändern ab einer Bandstärke von 0,65 mm (bei PET bereits ab 0,5 mm). Akku und Ladegerät sind selbstverständlich im Preis inbegriffen. Bei allen Geräten der neuen Generation ist zudem der NiCd- durch einen Lithium-Ionen-Hochleistungs-Akku ersetzt worden. Dadurch wird nicht nur die Anzahl Umreifungen pro Akku-Ladungen und der Bedienkomfort erhöht (das Gerät ist nun deutlich ausbalancierter), sondern auch der lästige Memory-Effekt, der bei NiCd-Akkus entsteht, wenn diese nicht vollständig ge- und wieder entladen werden, entfällt.

Design and functioning

Signode BXT2 is the newest generation of battery-powered strapping tools. It is faster and easier in use and thus guarantees highest productivity.

Its innovative design is ideally adjusted for use in rough surroundings and allows for highest availability. An outstanding proof for its high availability is the BOSCH lithium ion hyper charge technology charging the battery without causing so called "memory effects".

After only 15 minutes charging time a charging level of 75-80% can be reached (even with a completely empty battery). The BXT2 retains the pre-selected tension force until the last strapping cycle has been done.

Design and handling of Signode BXT defines a new standard for manual strapping tools.

Thanks to its ergonomic and balanced design, the BXT2 is not only light, but also ideal for one-hand use. The patented BXT2 sealing system provides not only manual, but also an automatic mode.

Selection of tension force, sealing time and manual vs. automatic mode is done by a touch panel.

Brushless maintenance-free motor technology

Up to 400 strapping cycles can be done with only one battery load thanks to the brushless motor technolgoy.

The new Bosch lithium ion battery system provides highest power and can be re-charged at any time as there is no risk of a memory effect anymore. The robust desing protects the battery against mechanical damage.

Automatic sealing system
